A veteran singer announced a farewell tour across five cities this week, marking the artist’s first live performances in nearly four years after stepping back from touring for health reasons.
The tour will feature a stripped-down band setup, a deliberate choice the singer’s team said reflects both practical touring considerations and a desire to revisit early-career material in a simpler arrangement.
“I wanted to say a proper goodbye to touring, on my own terms, while I still can enjoy it,” the singer said in a statement announcing the dates.
Tickets for the opening show sold out within an hour of going on sale, prompting organisers to explore adding a second date in the same city.
A portion of proceeds from each stop will go to a regional music education charity, continuing a partnership the artist has maintained for much of the past decade.
