FP News launched to close a simple gap: readers who think and read in both English and Bangla shouldn’t have to pick one edition over the other, or wait hours for a translated version of a story that already broke. Both editions are reported and edited on their own schedule — the Bangla edition is not a machine translation of the English one, or the other way around.
Our newsroom covers seven core beats — Economy, Bangladesh, International, Sports, Entertainment, Feature journalism and Opinion — through a small, focused desk rather than an attempt to cover everything happening everywhere. We’d rather be reliably good on fewer subjects than thin across many.

Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction at the bottom of the affected story along with the date it was made. That’s not a formality — trust is the only thing a newsroom really has to sell.
